Privacy Policy for BYOB Todo

BYOB Todo (“BYOB,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) is operated by Junic So, an individual developer based in Seoul, South Korea. This Privacy Policy explains what data BYOB collects, where it lives, and your rights over it.

Summary in one paragraph

BYOB is a privacy-respecting personal productivity app. It does not contain advertising, analytics, tracking SDKs, or any third-party data brokers. All your data — tasks, goals, mantras, vision-board images, tags — stays on your device by default. You can optionally enable iCloud sync (handled by Apple) or AWS S3 sync (using credentials you provide and control). We do not have a backend server that receives, stores, or processes your content. We cannot read your data because we never receive it.

Information BYOB does NOT collect

• We do not collect personal identifiers (name, email, phone, address).
• We do not collect device identifiers (advertising ID, IDFV) for tracking.
• We do not collect usage analytics or telemetry.
• We do not collect crash logs (we rely on Apple’s opt-in crash reporting that you control in iOS Settings).
• We do not include any third-party SDKs that collect data.
• We do not show advertisements.

Information stored on your device

BYOB stores the following on your iPhone/iPad in Apple’s SwiftData private container:

• Tasks, recurring task series, tags, weekly/monthly/yearly goals, vision-board images, mantras you create
• App preferences (sync mode, default goal counts, theme settings, etc.)
• The date you first installed or acquired the app — used to manage the 90-day free creation window

This data never leaves your device unless you turn on a sync option.
